it's been awhile. shocking. so what's happened since june? alicia came to town in the beginning of july for the national horse show, so i got to spend a bunch of time with her. i may have missed some fireworks (except for the ones i saw driving home from the state fair park) but i had a good time hanging out with alicia so its all good. not as good as 4th of july at disney world with Chris last year. but it was still fun. hmm.. then i went to seattle a couple weeks after that. that was a good time. i got to see alicia again, and natalie, and cisco, and adam. oh and i learned about corrosion too. corrosion is bad. and airplanes get heavily corroded near bathrooms. (cause i know you all wanted to know that!) then the day after i got back from seattle, my parents came into town for a visit. it was nice seeing them again. it was a great time. went to eat at a bunch of great restaurants, went to bricktown and to the OKC national memorial, and we went to meers then to the wildlife preserve to see some buffalo. and as an early birthday present they bought me some living room furntiture. and it is so nice. its microfiber but it feels just like suede and looks l ike suede. its nice and soft. i love it. and i have this awesome little lamp that doesn't have a switch. instead you tap anywhere on the metal base and it turns on! it's pretty sweet. so then after that, at work, I got yelled at because the SECRETARY booked me an uber-expensive flight to seattle. i gave her a couple flights that i preferred then said that if those were too expensive, i just needed to be back by a certain time to get my dog out of the kennel. she chose to book an expensive flight. (it was $1400 more than twice as much as other people's flights.) i'm assuimg she did it because it was all done at the last minute, even though they knew for three weeks that i'd be going. i dont think my manager likes me much. the other new hire feels the same way too though, so its not just me. he just doesn't really seem to be interested in us or make us feel like part of the group. that's a whole other issue though. umm, i've been working on a report for my program manager. and this woman is in charge of the entire Special Air Mission program at boeing and has like 1000 people under her. so she's way up there. any she says that my work has been "fabulous" and "fantastic" and she's learning a whole bunch. she told me that she was actually bragging about me to an air force 4-star general who used to be in charge of the entire USAF special air mission program. so that's pretty sweet. my immediate manager may not like me, but everyone above him loves me! :-) hmm.. Chris comes home soon! i am so excited for that! i can't wait to see him again. it's been too long.
yeah so i can't think over anything else i feel like writing about right now. so maybe i'll remember to update more often.. but probably not.
