45 days until graduation!
so i will definately have a job by march 31. boeing HR in seattle called the other day asking if i had made a decision on the offer. i had told them already that i was waiting for the OKC job. so they called the managers in OKC and they know they are going to interview me, but they haven't made a set desicion on if they're going to offer me the job or not. so she called the manager in seattle and told him i was waiting on the other job. the manager is giving me until march 31. which is fair. but those people in oklahoma are going so damn slow with all this. i mean, on the surface the seattle job is way better than the OKC job, plus my original reasons for going to oklahoma seem like they won't quite matter anymore but i still think i'll be happier doing military engineering over commercial engineering. granted its the same type of work, and it doesn't involve the lacking-innovation design work on a commercial jet, but no matter how fun the actual work will be, knowing that i'm working on the 747 won't make me totally happy. i mean, i can't turn down the seattle job on a hope that i'll get the OKC offer. and i'll have at least 3 friends in seattle (potentially more) and none in OKC so that will help. i'll keep you all posted. but in about 2 weeks i'll know where my life is going for the next couple years.
