Background + color theory?

Since my website has finally been redesigned, I created a a background of the one character I changed the most, Nick.

I have the color scheme for the clothing figured out(I was going to go with the previous scheme from the webstrips, ie: Navy Blue hoody/orange shirt), but I'm open to any input, especially the body/arm/head colors. I don't want him looking like a scud rip-off or anything when I decide to eventually start coloring the strips...
