Yum Yum

My parents are teaching me new dishes. It's so awesome. Last night I made pork chops with mushroom sauce, and tonight I made grilled salmon with an orange marmalade and honey (with balsalmic vinegar) glaze. Both were absolutely delicious.

I'd be happy to share recipies -- but only by request, so I don't go writing all that crap for no reason.

Last night I saw another show at Terrapin Station. This time I only talked to one girl for a couple seconds (previous visits have been pretty nice in that department). The band was a bit sloppy, but I forgive them because it was the bass players birthday, and I'm sure they were all having a few drinks. It was an alright time. I saw a couple of girls who got my attention with their well-dressedness and looks, but I didn't talk to any of them because I feel like such a jack-ass in this damned neck brace (just imagine having to turn your whole upper body whenever you have to look at anything out of your range of view, it's ridiculous).

The best part of the night -- an old friend of mine, Mike D., was running sound. He's playing some music with Kyle Love, who is hands down the best musician I've ever played with (from jazz combo in high school). I've never felt so in tune with anyone, and everything we played was just so effortless and beautiful. Totally sublime.

But anyway, I guess Kyle had some good things to say about me, 'cause Mike wants me in the band; and I can't think of a more comfortable way to get back into the music groove. Especially since they're "not doing anything too serious right now."

AND, Mike plays poker, so we might actually be able to start a weekly game now.

Essentially, things are looking up, except for the whole broken neck thing; and the whole lack of sex thing - but I've settled into that again, so it's not really bothering me anymore, and I think it's improving my focus. (Also, two days until I see Myra again and visit my old homeworld!)

Sw33tness.
