I just discovered that one of the cats has been eating my peacock feathers. I have a white one and one of the standard ones with the eye on it. Rather, I had. The colorful one has pretty much been mangled and mostly eaten; I found it on the floor when I just went to grab a flannel. The white one has had most of the lower feathery bits eaten off. I've had these for about 4 years; a friend gave them to me when she worked at a children's petting zoo. I have painstakingly moved them twice without damaging them. (Hint: mailing tubes are awesome for this sort of thing, if you're careful.)

Considering how long I've had these feathers without incident, I know it's not my cat. My cat also doesn't eat random shit. Plants, yes. Bagels, yes. But not things like balloon ribbons and feathers. It was one thing for Chris to eat and pretty much kill my Eternity Plant. Now he's eaten something of sentimental value of which I have no photos.
