(no subject)
I split a guy's eye open today in my MMA (mixed martial arts) sparring group. not his eye specifically, but right above his eye, a typical boxing cut.
see, a couple of boxers (maybe kickboxers?) saw us fighting last week, so they challenged us. I had already fought him once, with chest gear etc, no punching to the head. but hard kicks etc. Beat him there, i'm a much better kicker than he. and he tried to grapple with me, which ended disasterously for him, and my contact.
anyway.
this match was after I had a few more with my own school. it was just boxing gloves, mouthpieces, and we could do some light kicks. well, maybe 30 seconds into it, i lead with a right jab and come around with a hard left hook, right into his eye, and we tied up right after. I realized he was bleedin and bam. yeah.. we cleaned it up and he is definitely gonna need stitches.

It being later now, I also sparred Khanh with boxing gloves on (Khanh being our unofficial leader, he's a black belt and used to teach an official class at the IMA, he is who got this group together) He's not much of a boxer.. he's goot with kicks and kinda blitzing in with alot of punches.. but I opened him up nicely with a kick and jab combo and was able to truly rock him with a right cross.
first one made him stumble, while the second one, a little bit later, ended the match.
