Grrrr

I generally try not to get worked up when I discover people reposting my graphics or hotlinking, but discovering this site: http://pinkmonster.gportal.hu/ just really irked me today. Pretty much all the Garfield icons she used in the header and side bar are mine. Its like a collage of all my Garfield icons (well, not ALL of them, but you get the idea).

IDK why this bugs me more than the people who repost my stuff on Fanpop, but it does. I put a lot of creativity and effort into my Garfield icons to try and make them unique, so seeing them all thrown together and in some cases, cropped in half as part of some collage, with a grid texture thrown over top of them, just takes away and distracts from what makes them special and unique.

And it just pissed me off. This person seems proficient in photoshop. If that's all she needed Garfield images for, a collage, why not just crop them from the original strips? Lazy asshole.

Oh, and she's hotlinking them too. The small icons under the "elite" section? Those are just thumbnails hotlinked from my Photobucket, which is how I found this site to begin with. Imagine my surprise when I checked my bandwidth and stats on Photobucket only to discover that the site I got the most views from was not Livejournal, but this Pinkmonster site instead.

EDIT: Overnight, the webpage has gone from public to password locked. The timing of the switch right after I posted about it here seems rather fishy. I wonder if she had some sort of pingback feature. At any rate, if anyone is curious about what I was ranting about, I took screengraps of it last night:

rant, garfield, icons
