Remembering 9 / 11

Five years ago today, terrorists tried to tear our nation apart. They tried to make us change our beliefs, to turn against one another, to run. They failed to do these things, although they did manage to take loved ones from us and make us cry . It scared a lot of people at first, but then it united our country. It brought people, who otherwise would not stand next to each other, together in one united force. We helped our neighbors, we prayed, our president even ON TELEVISION prayed. I watched in horror as the towers were taken down, as the pentagon was hit, as the plane went down in that Pennsylvania field. Then I watched prayer, compassion, humanity, strength, and love take over. They failed. Their ignorance and hatred will always fail.

In loving memory of all those who perished. A warm hug for those left behind. Know that we have not forgotten. You are always in our prayers.
