First, I'm here for you. I'm probably going to end up in a death camp, we are all doomed. But I at least won't go down without standing up for people before they come for me.
Second, everything else i have to say is probably not helpful. but writing this is helping me I guess. catharsis. maybe. i don't know.
My mind has been the darkest place the last few months. It is not a coincidence my father gave up and died 4 days before this horrific hell descended on us and destroyed us all. I keep thinking about how to stockpile cyanide or something. Because there's no hope anymore. I know my father was completely out of hope. I also keep thinking he's lucky he's dead.
Often I think, the liberals and especially the Democrats have done this to themselves. They are FAR too willing to compromise and tolerate the far-right. Obama was far too soft on the Republicans and if he had forced the Garland vote or made a bigger deal out of those worthless pieces of shit's hypocrisy, at least maybe we'd have a functioning court. If we think we owe our Trump-Supporting mouth breather family and friends anything ever again, we are tolerating this. Personally, I cut all ties with the one second cousin once removed who was a Trump fan. I don't miss her. I stopped talking to the one acquaintance who voted for T**** as a "statement." And I'd cut off anyone else who voted for that monster. even if we were closer. It would be like finding out someone I knew was a Nazi, because that is EXACTLY what it is. So I think zero tolerance is the only moral option. Just tell them, "I cannot support someone who supports racism, fascism, and intolerance. If you want to have a relationship with me, reconsider your politics. Do not ever contact me again. Have a nice life."
I will not support a red state, won't travel to one, won't spend any money in one, won't buy any products from one. I sold my stock in red state-based companies (WFM and LLY). Literally the only thing these horrific, hateful monsters care about is money, so I'm hitting them in my own small way with the only thing they give a shit about. And for the people who live there and didn't vote for the apocalypse, then maybe it will inspire them to fight, or to flee to a safer place. I realize these are unpopular opinions. I realize everyone thinks I'm crazy and don't take good enough care of myself, or something. But I think ZERO tolerance or support of any T*** supporters for ANY reason is the only moral way forward. And we have to fight. I wish i could stop reading the news, too, but nothing will get any better or go away.
