Where do these pairings even come from?!
Well hello cupcake monkeys,
I think it's safe to say from looking at my last post that I have a 'love-hate, hate, hate' relationship with LJ but I've found myself using it more and more lately for prompts, inspiration and as a source of good fics that can't seem to be found elsewhere... especially with my newest obsessions.
Am I the only one or are there a ton of fic-lovers out there who get into fandoms years after they're most popular? Just for example my newest favourite pairings seem to be Thorin/Bilbo, Smauglock (the Hobbit), Eames/Arthur (Inception), Jayne/Simon (Firefly)... my OTP will always be Arthur/Merlin but really, where did these other ones even come from? They just sneak up on you, the freakishly attractive little buggers.
There goes any spare time I may have had... damn time-monopolising Laptop of Doom. Damn you to the Harvey Norman from whence you came!!
Ooh, that reminds me, I'm on tumblr and AO3 now too as Sproutling... I'll put links to fics here when they're posted.
