Great opening line. I'm really liking your opening and closing lines lately, btw. Really eye-catching.

I also like the surprising kindness of Starbuck, watching out for him to make sure Gaeta gets home all right. I guess I can see how there might have been some basis for a connection there, given that Starbuck was Boomer's bunkmate, but I was taken by surprise - pleasantly so. We so rarely get to see Starbuck being selfless, and yet still true to her cigar-chomping form. :)

Kara took another sip of her drink. “How do you know you’ll never see Boomer again? She probably downloaded or transmitted or whatever to another body, all shiny and new.” Gaeta looked at her wild eyed. “What?” I liked this moment a lot. I could totally hear Starbuck saying it just that way too.

Also, AngryDrunk!Gaeta isn't so much scary as he is huggable. Poor Felix. :(

Well, then I can tell you exactly what happened to her. Her programming released a virus into her system. It’s like a cyanide pill for a human ... Her programming simply refused to let her live her life as a source of information to the enemy.”

This was quite an interesting plot element. Very creative!

Poor Felix is so conflicted. This interaction at the end in the brig kind of made me think of the way the Chief dealt with Athena when she first arrived on Galactica. It was quite compelling.

Good job. I'm excited to see the next installment!

Well I loved the play of Athena off of everyone in Boomer's life. It had a very..."this is how I avoid closure" quality to it. I mean, they all were just sort of like "Oh, Boomer's back but sans Adama shooting. Hooray!" But Boomer was still out there. She wasn't Athena. Athena kind of usurped her life. I <3 identity issues ^^

This was quite an interesting plot element. Very creative!

At first, she was going to be pregnant, but everyone guessed it....so I kinda had to come up with something better. To make it all...you know....mysterious. Yeah...mysterious...
