Multiple birth and having many children

I feel compelled to write on this issue because it's interesting to me and controversial.  Personally, if you can take care of them, I don't really care how many you have.  Example, if Bill and Melinda Gates wants to have 30 kids, go for it.  I understand that he may not be able to give all them as much personal time as parents with fewer but they ( Read more... )

I completely agree with everything you said, Sarah. Although, your cost per year for the children are a little off, because a few of the other children have special needs and certainly several of these new babies will have health issues since they were so tiny. That will increase the costs even more.

What I don't understand is why anyone in the world would allow her to go through IVF treatments again, after already having 6 kids. Honestly, how many more kids do you really need? And second, how did she get the money to pay for the IVF treatment when she can't even afford to take care of her kids? As far as I know, IVF costs something around $10k, which is expensive for anyone, let alone a single parent who is unemployed. I feel absolutely horrible for the kids, as they didn't choose this life, but it's incredibly irresponsible of this woman to think she can just keep having kids and someone will help her take care of them financially.

It makes me angry that my hard earned money goes to people that make stupid decisions!
