Christmas post 1 : 23rd of December in Kyoto
First off, Merry Christmas :)
Second, heres a more recent update.
On the 22nd I had a Christmas party that to say the least was stressful. But it pulled together and alot of people showed up. I'll update on that one another time because I dont have any pictures!! But around 16 people came including my friend Jisun from Korea and a huge surprise guest!! Robert just showed up at my door! I was very surprised and extremely happy! It was a really good party and about 7 people stayed over too which was fun.
Anyway the morning after, slightly hungover but ok, 6 of us headed to Kyoto to start Christmas Early.
Rin, Scott and me at the trainstation. I drew the loveheart on his face. He didnt realise he had walked to the station with it on...silly boy.
We got there in around 1 hr 40mins and we headed straight for a ramen shop for food. I had the weirdest set that included these extras;
Fried Rice, Veggie Spring rolls, salad and fried chicken in mayonaise...with ramen on the side...
But these fat foriegners ordered double that!
Jason, Pontus and Scott. Their table was covered in fooood!
He has no eyes...and was wearing my tshirt the whole trip!
We first went to Kiyomizudera which will mark my 3rd visit in 2 years!! But it was fun and a beautiful day to go.
We did a jumping picture and kinda failed...but Rin lost his legs! Me, Rin and Kylie.
The Temple.
We managed to see the "Kanji of the year". Apparently there was a poll and they asked people what last year was to them in a symbol.. they picked "Hen" which means weird... So last year was apparently weird...
I think it suits him alot more than me :)
It says Kotoshi no Kanji. This years Kanji. The big one means Hen. Weird.....

We drank water from one of the springs of the temple and there was a high tech ultre violet cleaning machine.
My favourite bit of the temple...the wooden stilts!
On the way back me and kylie found a cardboard cut out thing!

So after wards we thought it would be fun to Dress up in big animal suits and run about Kyoto :) *this was decided in the pub.....*
We went to an arcade and played some games though :D

I did goooood! Got past the first round and even managed to shoot down the helicopter in one shot! Rin died earlier lol!
