To continue with the updates!
On the 18th of October (yeah I know its now...November....) I went to Kobe with Rin. The previous night we went to a friends birthday and had jelly shots and food. So the next morning was more than slightly rough.
We headed to Kobe at 8am and got there at about 11am :) wooo.
So first we headed to Kobe Harbour, after Rin withdrew money at the post office which was far away :P
Kobe Harbour
Wooo sea!
My turn
Nice boat (pirate ship!)
Giant Wheel
We decided to have lunch at the harbour before exploring. So we sat by the side of the water and ate 1 Gigantic Hamburger and 1 Gigantic Salad and I had a Korona.
It was very touristy. We watched the boats sail past. It was fun.
We took angry pictures next to the waterfront.
My angry picture.
Rin got a cone out of his head. (kobe tower)
And I found a crazy boat
Which was actually a Superconducting Electromagnetic Propulsion boat..... as you do...
Then we went to the park area which had a music/foriegners love america style festival... so we looked at the gigantic sculptures and lay in the sun for a while.
This was my favourite strange object. Everything is new in Kobe because of the massive earthquake that occured before.
I loved this thing
Rin resting on the thing.
Me posing on it. (it felt sooo good)
Rin lying on the pillow like versions of it.
Crazy child statue thing.
We had really rubbish Okinawan Donuts
and I found motorbikes for dad.
Motorbikes are very popular here!!
Next we went a walk to find a Hotel to stay in. So we headed around the shopping district. We found a random shrine.
and took weird photos.
Why does he always look cool in photos....
Next we decided to go up to Rokko Mountain to watch the sunset. To get there we had to get to another station, take the bus and then take a rail cart up the mountain. It was suddenly very very cold!
Mountain Train
Rin next to the train.
The Views were great.
Rin had to use the machine.
We went for a walk and then we watched the sun set.
It was very very beautiful and alot of people had the same idea.
We were there for a long time. Kobe at night is pretty too.
The next day we woke up and then decided to go for cake. Cake in Kobe is supposed to be very very famous.
Strange Kobe cake
Strange Takayama man
Afterwards we found a crazy new rythmm game where you push the buttons in time to the music to a large square.
Rin was ok, but I was better. He sucked at the drum games though :P
Then we went shopping and Rin bought me a present.....
A Vivienne Westwood Scarf!!!!
Weeeeeee
We walked through a garden with a naked man.
And then we hit Chinatown in Kobe as its also famous.
It had strange statues.
And a really good night view.
and silly statues.
and an area where everyone sat and ate from the food stalls. Alongside every street there were food stalls with chinese food. You could buy so many different varaties of dumplings and gyouza, It was great. Although me and rin had ran out of money...so we didnt really eat much...and when we did we tried to eat as little and cheaply as possible.
The only photo of me and rin :)
The only thing I bought myself. A cute little glass ornament. its very very cute and when I go again I'll buy alot more!
Overall Kobe was awesome. Its probably my favourite place now. It just felt so laidback, the weather was great and the food was good. Although we did go to an izakaya and it was really expensive...
But I loved it. Definatly would go again. Now its time for home! Quick update over!!
