Well jeez, it's been a while since I've writtin in this darn thing. Summer's almost over, I have to go back to school at Wells next Wednesday, and I have my first college class on Tuesday! THATS FIVE DAYS AWAY! It's been a fantastic summer, certainly with its emotional ups and downs, but hey, I'm used to it. Here's my summer's FAQ:
----------
So what the heck is this Mission Trip all about?: Oh my, the mission trip was crazy fun. It really was a wonderful and life changing experience. I'm not this huge church buff who goes every Sunday (as I'm sure you could tell), but it really is amazing how sometimes the work that you can do with His help can effect so many people. I met some great people, strengthened some friendships, laughed a lot and almost had a pediphile moment. To see all my pictures and stories, go
here. Feel free to comment, but I'm going to make the entry friends only again sometime in the near future.
----------
So when/where/how/why are you moving?: Okay, since this has been a large topic of conversation this summer, I'll address it now. So I'm moving to Wells. Yes, Wells, stfu, I'm not a traitor. My parents bought a place on Route 1 across from "Sister Mary Catherine's Internet Cafe", lol, and are turning part into an antique shop and we're going to live in the rest until THIS house sells, at which point Mom wants to buy a cute cape with a garage somewhere in Wells. I'm not there yet, we're in the moving process, slowly taking up loads at a time, but until gas prices and moving prices (the next few weeks are the most expensive to move during) go down, we're still sort of here.
----------
WELLS!? WTF?! WHATS CHEERLEADING GOING TO DO WITHOUT YOU?! I HATE YOU.: **sigh**. Yes, Wells. I've already started cheering up there, and it's crazy different from York. We have some THIRTY SIX girls, a finished halftime, we know all the cheers, and are already twisting stunts. There is no WHINING and SCAPEGOATS and backstabbing for that matter. CRAZY HUH? I have some killer classes at the school, starting with taking freshman english at yccc. I'm also taking World Lit, Genetics, AP Statistics and AP Government and Politics. **brushes off shoulders**. Maybe I'll find time to have some FRIENDS.
----------
So, uh Shannon, tell me about your love life...: Shuttup. Well I can tell you that despite my liking, it's close to non-existant. Funny how my taste in guys has changed too. I'm sure you all remember the metrosexual, dark hair, dark eyes, spiked hair phase I went through. I don't think I could get more opposite. Recently, or the past four or so guys may show, that I've been going for guys with shaggy blonde hair and blue eyes. Also, just because I don't have a boyfriend, doesn't mean I haven't had my share of fun... ;) I'll leave the rest to your imagination.
----------
It's almost your senior year... DEAR GOD SHANNON, you must have mapped out the rest of your life by NOW!: Funny you should ask! I'm looking at several schools, my top three being NC State, University of Georgia and UNH. I'm going to major in broadcast journalism and become a news anchor. I want Dan Rather's job. I'm going to live later in a Georgian mansion with a tireswing in the front yard and a cobblestone walkway. Both Andy and Scott have promised that once they become rich and famous they will each buy me a Porsche. Living in style. I forgot to mention my wonderful loving and loyal husband who will cater to my every need... maybe he'll be a stay at home dad to our twin boys Darren and Connor.
----------
So uh, how about those senior pictures?: They're not so slick, out of thirty I only SORT of liked 6, but I posted those six, and the funniest two
here Feel free to put in your imput or laugh just as hard as I did.
----------
What's this EYE shit in your profile? LET GO WOMAN.: Shuttup. EYE was the most AMAZING week of my summer, no joke. I met the craziest people from around the world from Hawaii to the Dominican Republic. I have many fond memories, especially BIG BOOTY and billions of pictures
here. Even with hospital trips and sad goodbyes, I learned so much and have memories to last a lifetime, including a 24 hour van ride in a van with leather seats with no a/c and lots of duct tape and 12 people I didn't know. LOL. I MISS YOU ALL.
----------
How was Harry Potter?: Very good actually. The ending was RUINED FOR ME (thanks Riana), but I enjoyed it. Getting it was the best part, dressed up as Harry Potter geeks, dancing and having one of the craziest nights I've had in a long time... Good times
----------
How's the beach?: Blow me. I haven't been yet
----------
Why?: Try balancing working, cheerleading, moving and friends. I dare you.
----------
Where do you work?: Another sore spot. I worked at Rue 21 in Kittery, where I met the most crazy people ever. I love each and everyone of them dearly. We had great times from T-Shirt wars, to trash talking, to marriages and rumors that spread like wildfire. Never did I NOT want to go to work. I actually ENJOYED being there. I had to quit because of the move, but Sandy (the manager) did call me today and ask if I could work (I couldn't though). THEY STILL LOVE ME!
----------
Shannon, is this the end?: Could be, and because I don't think I've done anything else uber fun, I think it probably is.
----------
Shannon, will you marry me?: Sorry kids. Jenni and I are getting married. We've been together for a month TOMORROW and are going to make mad hott lesbian porn. Don't hate.
----------
You're gay? I thought you were straight!: She was my date to Jen's wedding, calllllm down.
