Please sign up here for springtime_gen 2012! Sign-ups are open till February 5 and we expect to have assignments out by February 12. Submission deadlines are 8 April for first-time participants and 15 April for veterans.

For the gift you'll create:
1. Will you be giving fic or art? Fic
2. Characters you'd rather not write/draw: Voldemort, one-note Death Eaters such as Dolohov, Rookwood, Rodolphus/Rabastan Lestrange.
3. Genres, scenarios and anything else you'd rather not write/draw: I'm not good at humour or crack; I'll have a try at anything else.

For the gift you'll receive:
1. Would you prefer to receive fic or art (though we can't guarantee art)? Either is great
2. 3-5 preferred characters: Minerva McGonagall, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, Ginny Weasley, Neville Longbottom
3. Characters you don't want in your gift: As main characters (minor character is fine): Voldemort, Snape, Death Eaters except for the Malfoys or Bellatrix.
4. Preferred genres, prompts or scenarios you'd like to see in your gift: A few ideas; please use if they inspire you, and feel free to ignore if not! Picking up and starting again after the war (either the one in DH or the first one). Since this idea doesn't quite work for Sirius (*sniffle*), maybe something about him picking up his friendships with others such as Remus and Minerva at the end of PoA? I enjoy the odd AU if it's plausible and sheds new light on JKR's world or characters. I love stories about the DA during DH, and would also be interested in stories from the point of view of any of my "preferred" characters set during DH.
5. Genres, scenarios etc. you don't want to see in your gift: I am really not terribly interested in Minerva's Pottermore backstory, so please don't feel you need to incorporate this if you write about her. Romantic relationships except as a backdrop - please focus on the gen!

About you:
1. Up to which rating can you legally read/view (also mention any rating preferences you may have)? NC-17, but for this fest, please nothing higher than R (PG or PG-13 are great).
2. Have you participated in [info]springtime_gen before and, if so, can you tell us when? Yes, several times - most recently I wrote a pinch-hit last year for MiraMiraFicFic.
