Contact details:
The LJ name and email address that you wish us to use for this fest: bitchet / bitchet@livejournal.com

For the gift you'll create:
1. Will you be giving fic or art? Fic
2. Characters you'd rather not write/draw: Snape, Dumbledore, Marauders, Filch, Voldemort
3. Genres, scenarios and anything else you'd rather not write/draw: Anything Marauder-era because I don't feel comfortable writing any of the characters. Anything that's too dark, because I can't resist slipping in a happy/hopeful ending. Rigid gender/sex roles unless it's in a "The Handmaid's Tale" sort of AU.

For the gift you'll receive:
1. Would you prefer to receive fic or art (though we can't guarantee art)?: Fic
2. 3-5 preferred characters: Malfoys (Asteria Greengrass Malfoy and Scorpius can count here), Weasleys (the spouses and next gen can count here), Hermione, Andromeda, Hannah.
3. Characters you don't want in your gift: Can't think of any!
4. Preferred genres, prompts or scenarios you'd like to see in your gift: Missing moments from canon/re-telling canon from another character's perspective, what happened at Hogwarts while the Trio was away, and things like that are always great. Also, I love "what-if" scenarios. What if "Narcissa had told Voldemort Harry was alive?" and so on. I love strong women, humor, in-depth looks at family relationships, dark or sad stories with happy or hopeful endings, and anything that delves into the future careers of Harry's generation. I also wouldn't mind reading about the politics of the wizarding world or how religion works (or doesn't quite work as it were) with magic. Post-war Era would be great as well and I like the epilogue and the next generation so including that would be a-okay with me. And magic, I love magic and would be happy to see it in a fic - especially Pensieves, dementors, Veritaserum, Time-Turners, the Sorting Hat, or boggarts. Anything that allows you to explore and play with emotions and thoughts.
5. Genres, scenarios etc. you don't want to see in your gift: Anyone saying "gods" who does not say it in canon (that includes Draco and Ron), any hint of pairings that go against what is mentioned in canon (example: Draco/any of the Trio or Ginny) especially when it comes to epilogue - for pairings who have never had their romances mentioned, like Charlie, I don't care. Character-bashing, white-washing (example: no St. Hermione the Righteous and Omniscient, please), messing with the ages of the Black sisters unless it's intentionally done for an AU and serves a point because otherwise Bellatrix is the eldest, Narcissa the youngest and they're all born two years apart just like JKR wrote on the Black Family Tree. Anything Marauder-era unless it's focuses on the elder Malfoys, Weasley, or Andromeda. Agenda!fic - I like politics and fics that deal with it but it should match what we know of the characters and what's been mentioned in canon so I don't want to see Lucius-the inexplicable third-wave feminist or Ginny the regressive homophobe and the like. Rigid gender/sex roles unless it's in a "The Handmaid's Tale" sort of AU - there's canon and then there's "everyone defaults to straight". Also, no changing the ethnic/racial backgrounds of characters - Blaise Zabini is black per canon- but don't assume everyone is white and Christian unless otherwise stated. (I prefer to think of the Greengrasses as Jewish, for example.)

About you:
1. Up to which rating can you legally read/view (also mention any rating preferences you may have)? NC-17, but I wouldn't expect to see that in this fest ;)
2. Have you participated in springtime_gen before and, if so, can you tell us when? This is my first time!
