Dear mystery author, I love this! Your Umbridge POV is fabulous -- she's ambitious, yes, but not only on her own behalf; she truly wants the wizarding world to prosper and believes she's helping it to do just that. I love her keen observations of the people around her and the way she's always sizing them up and keeping track of their failings (though the mention of her coworkers not inviting her for coffee made me feel sad for her, too).

"I thought that you could help them book the meeting room. You did such a good job with the nameplates yesterday."

*dies* I guess I can't blame her for finding her first job unsatisfying...

She would rise above them one day. And then they'd realise the mistake they'd made.

Indeed. (Love the title, too.)

It wasn't as though she was prejudiced against them or anything like that. No, it was nothing like that. They were just different.

Deliciously ironic, as is the bit about werewolves working at Hogwarts.

She hadn't planned on getting a promotion this year, but it looked like she would have to. She was not going to see Cornelius do better than her.

*nods* I can definitely see this.

Thank you so much, again! This is going into my private folder of great Umbridge stories. <3

♥ Sorry for the uber late reply! (Of course, you totally guessed it was me who wrote the fic. *g*)

I'm really glad you liked it. :)
