Marietta is amazing here and I was thrilled to get inside her head and understand her better-- I think that you captured her perfectly. I love how she progresses throughout the story and how her friendship with Millicent grows. And the fact that Hermione's reassessing her actions during the war and trying to make reparations is such a lovely idea. It's so Hermione.

Millicent owning a cafe? I want this to be my canon FOREVER! I just love it! I love her being an amazing cook and starting out in the Hogwarts kitchens and her messed up final battle story and her gruff exterior and her generous heart and loyal friendship. And I'm dying for a piece of chocolate pie right now! It's my favorite! *drools*

And Lavender with her strength and Gryffindor brashness (which complements the Ravenclaw and Slytherin perfectly) and self-confidence with her moments of self-doubt and her frustration with writing horoscopes... oh, she's lovely here!

Percy is such a favorite of mine and he shines in this! I particularly loved the bits about them hiding their secret rebellions in paperwork-- I love the idea that he was fighting, in his own way. His courtship of Audrey was sweet and she seems just lovely here! And I love that you incorporated George! I love when he can help others with their businesses-- it seems so him, especially considering how he got his start up costs.

This is full of everything I could want! My favorite characters and a cafe full of yummy foods and unexpected careers and unusual friendships and post-war recovery and flawed people growing and realizing new things about themselves. I LOVE IT SO! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mystery Author! *grins and bounces up and down in delight*

I'm so glad you liked it! Percy, Audrey, and Lavender are all characters I've played with before (and have a lot of fun with, obviously), but I've always really wanted the chance to explore Marietta. And I think Millicent running a cafe may now be my personal canon, too.
