I loved it. Your Seamus is a real friend, and I worry with him. It's heartbreaking to read, and I'm glad that I already know that they'll see each other again.

Thank you for sharing.

What a wonderfully done missing moment with great canon ties. I really liked how you described the upcoming war and how it affected to Seamus and everybody around him. Your Seamus was spot on and I liked how you showed us his worry for his best friend. Brilliant!

AAHHH! You have absolutely made my day! I ask for Daily Prophet in every exchange and no one has ever ever included it, oh goodness I think I love you. Thank you!

Seamus is amazing. I was so anxious for him as he looked for Dean, aw it broke my heart. So fantastic. I love how clearly you showed their bond, and without Dean even being there for most of it. And the family bond, too, I loved Seamus' family. Such a lovely look at Seamus. I love it. I love his parents. Their argument was so well done, as was the kids' reactions to it.

Such a powerful ending, too, with the half empty tables and dorm. Chilling. In the best possible way, of course.

Thank you so much for writing this! I love it!

You are so, so welcome! I thought about setting it actually in the offices of the DP, but then I would have had to do it post-DH in order to keep it canon and use the characters you wanted, so I went for this scenario instead. I was really trying to show friendship without any hints of slashiness, so I'm happy it came across that way. :)

I liked this missing moment in canon and the glimpses you gave us of Seamus's family and of his friendship with Dean. Everything felt so real.

This was fantastic! I didn't want it to end. I loved how the piece starts with a lighthearted quarrel over the crisps and ends in a brooding, tense, paranoid scene where everything comforting at Hogwarts is gone. I really liked Seamus's family, particularly the friendly teasing of Mr. Finnigan, and I really felt the affection in their home. The way Seamus went to so much trouble to read the paper, just so he wouldn't worry his mother, was very touching. However, Seamus's protectiveness of Dean was the most winning thing of all--especially in the early scene where Dean doesn't see the need to worry yet. And then when the family learns that Snape is the headmaster, and everybody realizes the gravity of the situation--brilliant! I truly enjoyed reading this story (and if you wanted to continue, I would devour every word). You did a wonderful job!
