For the gift you'll receive:
3-5 preferred characters: Neville, Harry, Ron, Ginny, Lily Evans
Preferred genres, prompts, scenarios you'd like to see in your gift: I like banter, humor, friendship fics, boys bonding, girls bonding, boys and girls bonding (:P), with a happy or hopeful ending, please. If you’re writing Harry era and Neville isn’t your main character, I’ll squee a thousand squees if you manage to work him in somehow. Also, Hufflepuffs are love, so feel free to toss a couple of them in if you feel like it.
Some possible scenarios (eep, sorry so many, but I wanted to give lots of options)
* When Lily Evans met Professor Slughorn
* What was ________’s (and/or their family's) reaction when s/he got the Hogwarts letter arrived?
* The character figures out s/he is talented in a certain field (Neville with plants, Ginny with Quidditch, Ron with chess, etc)
* Some of the DA getting together for fun (if you set it during school, it could be set during HBP, for example, or they could all meet up for drinks after the war is over)
* I love well-done missing moments, so any part of canon where we’re wondering what character X is doing/thinking while Harry is doing his thing would be fabulous, and I love AUs as long as they’re still set in the wizarding world (no non-magical AUs)
Feel free to add in extra characters/non-Gryffindors as needed.
Any relationships (if mentioned) should be canon
Characters, genres, scenarios etc. you don't want in your gift: Umbridge, Malfoys, Death Eaters (unless they’re used as a foil for one of the listed protagonists)
Please avoid overwhelming angst or unhappy endings (although if you decide to write Lily and Petunia, angst wouldn’t be misplaced, because we all know how they turn out, don’t we?). No dark!fic, excessive violence or character bashing, please.
For the gift you'll create:
Characters you'd rather not write/draw: As main characters, Snape, Draco, Death Eaters, Umbridge, Hagrid, Luna or Hermione (I just wouldn’t be able to do a decent job at any of them, I think), or characters who are only mentioned once or twice
Genres, scenarios etc. you'd rather not write/draw: violence, excessive angst, tragedy, unhappy endings (unless there can be a glimmer of hope in there somewhere)
Any part of canon you'd rather not see included (i.e. Deathly Hallows Epilogue, Tales of Beedle the Bard, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Quidditch Through the Ages:

Up to which rating can you legally read/view? (PG-13/R/NC-17) NC-17, but I prefer R and under.
