This was an interesting read. I especially loved the parts on the train to Hogwarts. You captured his youth and his hesitancy. I loved yout sympathy for Theo. I loved Luna's advice to him.

A very convincing look at Theo -- neither an outright good guy nor an outright bad guy, but someone who plays it by ear, a very Slytherin attitude. :) Fine cameos from the other characters too, and good to see Theo doing something positive there at the end.

This is Theo -- competent, witty, insightful and a loner. From the tiny snippets of him we get from JKR interviews, you've nailed him completely. I love the way you examined everyone's scars and brought it full-circle at the end with Theo choosing to be a healer instead of a death dealer.

You had me right at the end of the first scene. It's so weird what young children believe, and Theo's conclusion that bleeding cut could result in his death just like it had in his mother's case was very convincing.

I liked how the usefulness and story-telling abilities of scars came up in every scene as an ongoing leitmotif.

There was a pause, and their gazes locked. Theodore was warned not to point out that the damage was minimal if it even existed; Draco was told, silently but pointedly, that not saying it did not mean that Theodore wasn't thinking it.

I loved those lines. So much conversation in one single exchange of gazes.

The characterisation of the supporting characters was so spot on - I really enjoyed all of them. The image of Draco telling his grandchildren about his battle wounds made me laugh - you got him right, there. *g*

I like Theo's careful way of considering every aspect of a situation. This little bit sums it up so perfectly:

"You didn't fight ( ... )

Well! This was a lovely surprise!

Theodore is one of my favorite characters to write about, and I like how you have him here! His hatred of scars is an fascinating, and I like seeing him grow through the years, while still remaining very much the same: a loner who will do what he wants to when he wants to.

I also liked the cameos -- Eloise in particular was interesting, because it shows that Umbridge didn't just give grief to Harry, but to everyone. Luna was marvelous, and the scene was Roxanne was just so sweet. Theodore really isn't a bad guy when it comes down to it--he just hold to his own, and you really showed that here.

Thank you so much! I love it!
