Thank you for writing this! I never can find enough Alice and Frank to read, so this was very welcome. I love to imagine Alice as an Auror who's skills were in tracking, spying and deception, so I enjoyed reading Moody's assessment of her. I also love Goblins and I didn't even mention it in my list of requests, so you hit two of my favorite things ( ... )

I forgot to add that I love it that Moody speaks for her. I always saw him as a mentor for her, because he had been one for Tonks. The fact that they are meeing in the room above the Hogshead makes sense of course, but I also like it because that is where Neville gets help from Aberforth during his time fighting the Carrows. There are some nice links here.

I very much enjoyed the dynamics at the order meeting, and the later glimpse into goblin negotiation tactics. :-)

I really enjoyed this. I'm drawn to romance, so I really liked the end and the foreshadowing.

I liked the descriptions of the movements through the swamp.

This was a very nice story.

This is the first fic I've read that explored how Frank and Alice met, and it makes a pleasant change to see a couple-to-be who aren't childhood friends or school sweethearts. And it's refreshing for the focus to be on competent teamwork, not fluttering romance.

The glimpse into OotP MkI and the Death Eaters' attempts to cozy up to the goblins was interesting as well. Clearly Voldemort didn't go to the bother of learning much about the goblins, as presumably they would have seen the axe as rightfully theirs even if it weren't a fake? Typical arrogance from the one who thought he was the only one to discover the Room of Requirement!

There really aren't many stories about Alice and Frank and I especially like ones showing Alice as the skilled Auror that she was supposed to be. Your tale is subtle but greatly atmospheric and detailed. I enjoyed it!
