what a lovely description, blending the light-hearted moments -- and especially the friendship between Sirius and Lily -- with the darker foreshadowing. The best way for me to tell you how I responded to this story is to say that I wished I'd been there. Beautiful.

This is marvellous -- as lazy_neutrino said, the perfect blend of humour and darker hints. The humour especially feels right with these characters, and I love the shadings you've given the relationship between Lily and Sirius -- one of those things that's a mystery in canon. And, of course, the Order in the background, the last thing anybody wants to think about. Wonderful job!

That's one of the things I love about HP - that there's so much room to explore. This time I got to have fun exploring Lily and Sirius' relationship. ;)

Great picture of a young couple moving into their new home and fitting their friends into their new live. Meanwhile the formation of the Order and the future we know is before them lurks in the background. I liked your James and Lilly. I could see this night.

This is lovely. I enjoyed Lily and Sirius's quiet moment, the light-hearted banter indeed helping to provide relief from the overhanging clouds weighing on them all. I like how your reference to the war wasn't too heavy, just a touch to remind us, but not enough to drag this into angst.

Oh, I absolutely love this -- thank you so much! :D Eeee, Sirius and Lily and banter and general awesome, and there are so many fantastic details rammed into this. This really is my favourite type of Marauders post-Hogwarts fic, funny and a bit panicky about adulthood and the war just hidden beneath. Thank you again!

I was worried about the background references to the war, but it seems like it worked out.
