Oh, you are brave to write a Peter Pettigrew story! And a great one to boot! While not making light of Peter's betrayal, you really show who Pettigrew is and what his thoughts are like. Also, you show the fate of Judas who is never embraced by either side.

Thank you very much!

I've been wanting to write a Peter Pettigrew story for ages and I'm thrilled that it has been received as well as it has:)

Oh, Peter-fic! It's so nice to see more of that -- there's far too little in the fandom in general. You do feel for Peter here; he just wants someone to understand the position he's in, and nobody really can.

Mystery writer, you really captured Peter's personality, thoughts and motivations. I found this Peter entirely believable and even understandable. I felt for him, alone trapped with people who despise him, hoping to make contact with his last and oldest friend, but finding himself forever despised. His hope that Remus had gone over to Voldemort too, because then he would understand him, Peter, seemed almost sad and again very believable. This was very well thought out. I thought it was interesting how morally flexible Peter is. He is unhappy that he can't truly be one of the death eaters, but he seems unfazed by their actual beliefs. I don't think he ever was bothered by them, but simply served the Order to be with his friends. That's interesting. This has been very thoughtful.

You showed very well the sad fate destined to Peter since choosing to join the Death Eaters. I thought it plausible that Peter would still seek for a connection and friendship he always hungered for and feel dejected when he realised it was lost for good.

Very effective, and extremely in character. I always felt a little sad for Peter, and don't think DH did his character development justice in any way, so I was happy to read this.

My favourite moment was when Peter looks to Remus for some sort of echo of their former affection, only too aware that he's being despised both by his old friends and his new 'allies'.

Remus just leaving was quite heartbreaking in its own way. I enjoyed reading this!
