*Gasps* Oh, thank you. Because I pinch hit (I always think the past partcicple should be pinch hat for some reason) I really wasn't expecting a story of my own. And it's on my birthday as well - an extra surprise present!

I love the mutual affection and support between the trio. Harry is deliciously vulnerable and slightly-bewildered as he drinks alone - I have a thing for drunk!Harry - and I adore the way Ron and Hermione stick up for him when he is vulnerable. Seeing it through Harry's slightly skewed vision is fun as well - canary Vernon in his yellow pyjamas made me giggle.

It's a lovely ending. Considering how often Harry has felt isolated and alone at Privet Drive it's fitting he should leave it in the company of the two people who mean most to him.
