Just a wonderful, touching story - one that allows us to spend time with a rather unappreciated canon character. It almost made me cry.

Also, what's so poignant about this is what you don't say...the characters you don't mention. We wonder what kind of world is left, and what happened to so many others.

A truly moving, yet ultimately hopeful story.

A good one -- effective use of a character who doesn't even get a line of dialogue in the books, and this is a convincing version of him.

Thank you. I actually quite surprised how many people seemed to have warm to him as a main character.

Goyle isn't a character I would normally read - and I'm sort of surprised that I even opened this - but I'm really glad that I did!

I absolutely loved this. You've really done a great job of bringing a rather bland character to life and giving him real dimensions. I also really enjoyed the end, where Ron and Goyle had a sort of bonding moment, and I especially liked the end where McGonagall invited him to stay at Hogwarts.

Great job! ♥

This is so touching and charming. It's a lovely, understated characterization of Goyle that really does seem plausible. I really enjoyed it.

Oh, my. You have no idea what a tonic this is to me right now. I don't know if you did your research (Goyle holds a special place in my heart) or if you're simply very intuitive, but this really hit my sweet spot. I love the way Goyle's story slowly unfolds, revealing the backstory a little bit at a time, and the way he finds a place for himself in a post-Voldemort world, and I especially love that it's Ron and McGonagall who help him find his way.

Thank you, anonymouse. Thank you.

Thank you for putting Goyle in the list of characters. I would never have thought to write him or a story like this without some prompting and I’m really glad I did write it. I’m forever going to want to hug Goyle every time he appears in canon now.

And thank you so much for the fic you wrote me, it was so plotty and with wonderful use of my favourite characters and just what I wanted.
