The town is to blame for the initial spark. Those who killed are responsible for their own actions.

I'm inclined to agree. It's just.....

How could it be so easy to convince people to do such horrible things?

[He already knows though. Even as he's asking, he already knows.]

I'm afraid that if people were that easily swayed, the urge to kill was already there inside of them to begin with.

[Well, that's depressing...]

So then those people were just looking for an excuse?

This town brought the cruelty in ourselves out to the surface, and rewarded it.

Is that kind of cruelty in everyone?

I can't say. I am a soldier, my craft is death. I have killed more people than most anyone in this town.

And yet... killing at the behest of the masters here would be something I will never do,.

...... Even if they threatened you? Even if they offered you a reward?

Of course we can, they were completely fucking with my mind.

But does that excuse murder?

Nope.

But from what I can gather, most of the people who killed were assholes to begin with.

I didn't kill anyone.

(He did try)

Did you try to kill anyone, er, whoever you are?

I didn't get one of those letters, and even if I did, I'd never hurt anyone else.

[He's sure of that at least. He'd rather die than become a monster.]

My name is Adolf Hitler.

It's frightening to think how easily people are led.

No, I guess you don't. I guess that's just an excuse....

No way. This time, everyone made their own choices.

............

I know. The town didn't even order anyone to kill, they just suggested it, offered rewards, and it worked.

I really can't believe this place sometimes.

The worst part is that I know it'll work the next time. And the next.

There's no end to it, is there?
