[The statement ends on a questioning note as he's finally gotten a good look at his surroundings. This unfamiliar room looks nothing like the school dorms, and he doesn't recognize any of items in it either.]
Hello? Is- is anyone there? ....Shiro?
[He tries to keep the nervousness out of his tone, hoping that some of the other students are just playing a prank on him. Out of habit, he searches for his almighty Dolly, only to find that gone as well. He moves to the window to try to get his bearings, and gazes out on a strange suburban street. He's never been away from the school before, so this is a little overwhelming]
Could this be some kind of strange dream?
[To settle this question, he turns to the age old method of pinching oneself.]
Ow! Okay, it's not a dream. But then.......where am I? This couldn't be a prank either, I'm not on school grounds. ....What should I do?
[Rubbing his arm, he sits back down on the bed and runs through his options in his mind. There were really only two that he could see. The door or the phone. So he tries the door. To his surprise, it isn't locked. But he hesitates to use it just yet.]
I guess I'll try to call Dr. Kamiya first. If the phone works, he should be able to send someone to pick me up. If that doesn't work, then I can go out and try to find a phone that does.
[Course decided, he picks up the phone and dials Dr. Kamiya's number. But you all know how Mayfield phones work, so now he's talking to all of you.]
Ummm...Hello? Dr. Kamiya? This is Hitler. ........I seem to have a small problem.
[Okay, so he has a big problem, but a part of him is still hoping that this is something silly like a joke or prank.]
