Everyone back at school just called me Hitler. But since it bothers the people here, you can call me Adolf.

[Does she mean sure about her calling him Adolf, or sure that people always called him Hitler, or sure about the nickname thing? He doesn't know, so his answer sounds anything but sure.]

Even 'Adolf' tends to cause people to associate the name with him, particularly those not from eastern Europe.
