Some Servers Need to KNOW How to Take a Customer's Order

Feb 11, 2011 22:23

Some servers today don't know how to take your order in a restaurants. Sometimes, I honestly have had better luck getting my order correct at fast food restaurants at times. It's sad, it really is.

A good example, is twice I have ordered the garden salad at Red Lobster with saying "No tomatoes and No cucumbers." BOTH times, the servers made the side ( Read more... )

Your not even reading what I am putting out here. I use fact, actual examples, use how a kitchen is run, and the best argument you have come up with is that the "DUH MISTAKES" are 100% the servers fault. Truthfully, your just an angry, bitter woman trying to get out of not tipping. Then, you claim you DO tip, are totally polite, and absolutely nice to the servers, but every server you have had has been mean, uncaring, lazy, and stupid. All you've done is insult me. I guess having a mature conversation with an adult is a complete shot in the dark. Want to know what your fucking problem is? You only pick out what YOU don't like about something or someone. Your obsessive compulsive. Any time anybody contradicts you, you either pick out stuff out of context (actually READ what I typed out and you'll notice the quotes are simply to reference whole sections). You pick and choose what to point out and have contradicted yourself many times. If you truly want me to, I'll pick them out and list them individually. You "got me" in being a " ( ... )

"learn how to fucking type."

You got your nerve hypocrite. You just spelled the first word wrong "Your" when it's YOU'RE(you are). Don't tell me anything unless you are a perfect typist yourself, otherwise you have NO ROOM to criticize my typing, do you?

The only possible way the waiter was at fault for my husband receiving the wrong entrée was by that he didn't compare the written order to the food when he was handing out the entrées off tray that was on a tray jack. The waiter did indeed put in the order correctly since it was correct when we received it.(unless of course the ticket was wrong, but the kitchen staff made it correctly, which I doubt that happens very often if the ticket is wrong.(

You said "Blaming the expiditer would be an error in the food when the ticket was right. That's a kitchen issue."

That means, by "AGREEING" with me, you are agreeing that it IS your server's job to compare the written orders or tickets to the food, doesn't it for any OBVIOUS errors such as wrong food?

I proved you the HELL WRONG, can't you just admit the GOD'S TRUTH, HUH?

"You just want to admit the contradiction..." I do, or I don't? Again, your not reading, yet I'm being punished for having to read your dyslexic typing ( ... )

Edit: Your posts are so long, I had to actually click "Expand" under a couple. You caught me in the improper use of "you're." Congratulations! It still doesn't excuse the fact that your sentences are unreadable and repetitive. So, when you can learn to type properly, without abusing Caps Lock and the Shift key (your poor, poor Shift key), then this conversation may continue.

Holy ever loving Hannah!

I don't understand why getting one type of sauce instead of two requires such hateful language? Servers are human. They make mistakes, whether they write something down or not. Why can't we forgive a server for making a mistake, much like you'd forgive anyone else for making a mistake. That doesn't make them lazy, ignorant or idiots. It makes them human... like you. Your tirade on what a 'waste of time' mistakes are is blown way out of proportion... The time it takes to go and get that extra sauce that was incorrectly left off the tray is a tiny drop in the bucket to the time you've wasted screaming your head off on here... 62 comments to one post and 56 of them are yours!!!

Don't you get that it's not a real "mistake", but a lack of **EFFORT** to ((((LISTEN)))) to WTF the customer ordered? They didn't bother to compare the MENU to WTF I said, did they, that means it's not a mistake, but PURE LAZINESS, don't you get that or what?

The time I ordered the cajun chicken sandwich, the waitress said "I didn't think about that" when I told her lettuce and onion strings is listed in the description on the menu. People DON'T LISTEN TO WTF you said. I even gave her a printed order that was in neatly printed handwriting that didn't list "no lettuce" "no onion strings", but she ***ASSUMED*** and didn't *****LISTEN****** to WTF I said.

Don't you get it's not a MISTAKE at all, it's pure laziness on their part to check the menu too when putting in my order?
