holiday limbo
I'm ready to take all the decorations down, but I just can't get started.
Our little girl kitty has the most awful looking eye infection. She's been on drops and eye ointment, and antibiotics for two weeks, one eye is clear, but we're really worried about the other. We take to her the ophthalmologist today. Who knew they had kitty ophthalmologists? I hope they give us some encouragement. She's normally so playful but she's been sleeping all day and hiding from everyone because she feels bad. She fights taking her meds, which I understand, but I hope she realizes we're trying to help. Little brother is so BORED without his playmate, he's started opening drawers and emptying them, then playing in the drawer and then will everything he pulled out. He's freaking adorable, I spend all my free time playing with him because he needs the outlet so much, I get diddly done otherwise.
At least French classes are off for the next couple of weeks, I needed the break, but I have to do homework anyway. Oh well, I can read in a sunbeam, once I have nothing else to do. Little girl better get to feeling better quickly!
I want to spend time in teh kitchen, but my mojo has been off lately, things taste good, but not great. I need to restock my staples, white wine, canned tomatoes, lemons, fresh herbs, and find some new inspiration. I have eighteen bajillion cookbooks, I just need to pull them out and get cracking.
