Whirlwind November, check.

I can't believe its time for Thanksgiving, I'm not ready, life is too chaotic right now to stuff myself silly.

We had an awesome trip to Austin. Stayed in the Austin motel, what a hoot of a place. I just love the whole SoCo vibe. If you're ever there, eat at the South Congress cafe, absolutely phenomenal food! It was Halloween, so lots of people out in the streets in costume. We had a St. Leonard concert that night, so we though we ought to find dinner before. We were reading the menu on the window and the door opens and an absolutely gorgeous man in drag comes out, long blonde hair, bustier, the whole nine yards. We're mulling over the menu and he says "Best Food in Town!" in a very deep voice. When life gives you direction like that, you just HAVE to take it, is an imperative! It was great, a prie fixe menu, three courses for $30, which you can't beat anywhere decent. I still don't know if the queen was a patron, an employee, or the chef, but Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

the concert was phenomenal, I hope I'm half as spry when I'm 78 years young. I'm so glad I got to see him live in concert, what a night. The flat tire in the parking garage afterward didn't even take any of the grin off the night, or the entire trip.

Got to go to another fantastic concert last weekend with some awesome people, then a continued down to Houston with G for a consular meeting. If you're ever near Downtown Houston, try the Baghdad Lounge. The food is really great, try something you don't recognize, it's awesome!

Back just in time to add a new one to the household. We now have a kitty, a seven-ish month old female, fostered by X, so you know she's been spoiled. We're still adjusting, not even 48 hours in yet, but she's a sweetheart, and I'm pretty sure G is losing his hear to her as we speak! lol

Now back to being the army of one in the lab. Later, gators!
