That is, if you can whistle. I wonder how many aspies whistle sucking IN instead of blowing OUT? That's how my dad whistles.
We are having hubby's family over for Christmas. My house is really bad. And I don't have much time to clean it because we will be going on vacation and then coming back just before they come and...well the house is a mess.
I spend way too much time online. I know I do, and yet, I'm not sure how to stop. I'm not sure why I'm online so much. What am I doing? I'm not blogging regularly. I'm not reading others blogs. I do read a lot of special interest articles I suppose. I have lots of yahoogroups but they are all digested except one (headcovering list.)
And the house is a mess because the kids get into stuff and mess stuff up and break things and I know that I can't prevent all of it but some of it would be prevented if I wasn't on the computer.
So why am I on this computer? Am I depressed? Maybe. I don't know when the last time I spent a day with a friend was. I really like our new church, but it's 85 miles away so we don't go often. I miss Paul working from home one day a week and I don't see him on Mondays and Tuesdays because he goes to school right after work. he spends tons of time online with his special interests. Last Saturday he spent the entire day on his laptop on EBAY. We don't even have money for EBAY, but looking at antiquities on EBAY is suddenly his special interest.
School with the girls is going amazingly well. I do oral school and they can spell lots of words and read pretty well (I mean, for a 3 YO and 4 YO they can read pretty darn well!) My 4 YO can count to 100 by 1s and 10s and to 10 by 2s. She's learning basic math. She is also memorizing the 23rd Psalm.
Yet I still feel like I am spending way too much time on the computer doing....what? I still haven't figured that out yet.
I know what it is, I'm discouraged. I use the computer as a way to procrastinate. I got so tired of washing the dishes only to have them dirty again that evening, washing three loads of laundry a day and never getting caught up, ect. So I just gave up. I guess. Maybe.
I guess I just feel overwhelmed.
