A/N: So basically the title for both pieces is Strange Places but for the Declan one I though it would be fitting if it were in German and vice versa, I had originally want both of them to be 240 each but that obviously didn't happen and this one is slightly longer, but never mind. All errors are mine. I've not seen all of The Sinking of The Laconia, so I don't know what happens to Declan's character so even I'm left hanging in a way, but this is finished.
This wasn't the first time he'd been to the past, and it probably wouldn't be the last, despite the fact that Becker was determined that no one should go through at all. The first time he'd stepped through an anomaly he'd stepped through into the past, though to everyone else it was the present, but to Matt it was the past and although the future was his real home, the home he originated from, the home he'd been born in, since arriving in 2010 and since meeting her it had become his home and now he wasn't sure he wanted to go back to the future when all was said and done.
But that hadn't been the only time he'd gone back to the past, and now here he was again, stuck in the past, except this time it wasn't several million years ago and there weren't any dinosaurs around, although he'd be very surprised if there were in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. It wasn't until nearly an hour after stepping through, and after trying to tell them that he wasn't this Declan McDermott they were calling him, that he was Matt Anderson, that he'd discovered where and when he was. At least he was still in the 20th century.
He'd eventually given up trying to persuade them that he wasn't this Declan McDermott and just accepted it, deciding to go along with it, besides he had a headache the size of the London Eye and all he really wanted to do was try and figure out a way back to the right time, the anomaly having closed seconds after he'd come through. The shit really hit the fan awhile later, and as everything started to go black and he slipped into unconsciousness he knew that if the Germans didn't kill him then Abby definitely would, if he ever survived this and he was able to get out of there.
*So basically the idea of this, if you hadn't already guessed is that Matt ends up going through an anomaly into 1942 and ends up on the Laconia while Declan (Cieran's character in The Sinking of The Laconia) ends up at the ARC.
