Have Dog, Will Travel
Chalk this one up to something I've never seen before.
On my puddle-jumper flight from DC to Boston yesterday, my seat-mate brought a mesh carry-on with her. Upon closer inspection, I noticed one of those teacup-sized ankle-biters (I think it was some mix of Pomeranian/Pekingese and so very cute) and I prepared myself for one of those flights. You know, the kind where the kids are screaming, the parents ignore them, and you can't read your book or sleep or strangle them.
I was wrong. Either this dog is used to flying or was drugged up to the eyeballs, because it whined softly exactly twice for the whole 90-minute trip. Makes me curious about airline policy regarding bringing your pet onboard, but I'm too lazy to go look it up, but it's clearly permitted under certain circumstances.
