Word count: 1273
Summary: He finds his shelter from the world within her arms
A/N: This is probably one of my favorite pairings in FB. The song lyrics from the prompt belong to either Poe or Conjure One (but the one in my music banks that I listened to while working on this is by Poe). Thanks to evil_little_dog for the beta even though she was overwhelmed.

“You were positively fierce at the dojo today,” Rin said, sounding almost cautious to Haru’s ears. Her hooded eyes were hard to read.

He flopped down on his bed, grateful that his mother was out shopping yet again. He and Rin should have a lot of alone time that way. “I don’t want to talk about it,” he grumbled.

“I thought you might actually hurt that stupid cat,” she replied.

Haru frowned at the adjective. It was words like that which had soured his whole day; no, his entire life. “Don’t underestimate Kyo.”

Rin seemed to realize her mistake. She sat next to him, resting her slender arms around him. They were so lucky to have each other, Haru knew. She could hold him when he needed it, like now, and vice versa. So many others in his family didn’t have that luxury, having to live life starved for touch or finding inventive ways to satisfy themselves. He had made a mental list of those methods by listening in to Shigure and Ayami when they had forgotten there were younger people in the room. “I don’t,” Rin assured him. “I only mentioned it because Kazuma-sensei was worried about you, too.”

Haru puffed at his bangs. He hated making Kazuma worry. Worse, he never wanted to cause Rin any more anxiety than her family already inflicted on her. Rin already had a huge burden. “I had to go up to the big house today.”

Rin’s nose crinkled. “What did Akito do?”

Shrugging free of her grip, Haru stretched out on his bed, covering his eyes. His bracelets slid down his arms, thumping into his cheeks. “Him, nothing. Some of the others weren’t so kind. His servants are so hateful, have you ever noticed that?”

Rin rubbed Haru’s belly, letting out an indelicate snort that sound suspiciously like a whinny. “Always. What did they do this time?”

“The usual dumb ox stuff.” Haru sighed, knowing he should have been better than that. He shouldn’t have let it get to him but he had a bad day before it as well, his mother lecturing him on everything from how he dressed all the way down to his math test with its two mistakes away from perfect. Haru had taken his fill of the dimwitted oxen crap and had snapped in to his ‘black’ self. “I think I broke three windows before Kureno finally got me out of the house and sent me to the dojo.”

Her lips brushed his. “Don’t listen to them. You know you’re not a dumb cow. You’re smart enough to get into that school.” Her tongue teased up the studded shell of his ear, sucking on the lobe. “You’re not a clumsy ox. You’re the most wonderful, caring person I’ve ever known.” Rin’s mouth descended on his, the kiss long and warm.

Haru wrapped his arms around her, Rin’s long hair spilling over his shoulders. Deep down, he knew she was right. In a family as cold as theirs, where so many were only out for themselves - or so it seemed to him - he was one of the few who even tried to hold out a kind hand. He and Rin shared more than their love: both of them took the pains their family put them in and turned them into weapons with which they cut themselves, he with his black-out rages and Rin with her eating disorder. Did their parents not see they needed professional help? No, apparently not. At least his mother, with all her preoccupation with appearances didn’t treat him the way Rin’s parents dealt with her. “Thank you,” he murmured.

Rin’s hands slipped under his shirt, sliding it up over his head. Propping himself up on his elbows, he let her play with the silver pendants that rested on the pale skin of his chest. Rin’s tongue flicked over his nipples until they hardened into coral pearls. Haru gave himself over to the spreading warmth centering between his legs. Rin sat back long enough for Haru to sit up.

Pulling her into his lap, Haru explored under her short skirt. Nuzzling a finger under her damp panties, he caressed her clit until Rin seemed almost boneless against him, her breath hot in his ear. He rocked his burgeoning erection against her, making Rin moan.

Her fingers fisted in his parti-colored hair. “More,” she begged.

He slipped a finger into her, hooking it just a little to stroke against that little spot just behind her pubic bone. Rin muffled a cry against his shoulder as Haru added a second finger then a third, stretching her as gently as he could. Rin’s head jerked, her mane thrashing over them both.

She slipped away from him, reaching across the bed to his night stand. As she rooted around for his condoms, Haru slipped her panties down, bunching her dress up over her waist. He caressed the rounded curve of her strong buttocks, kissing the small of her back. Turning around, Rin grinned and held up the condom. At least she didn’t say anything about them being Gundam-themed.

Taking that as his cue, Haru shucked out of his bondage-tie trousers, the D-rings jingling as he kicked them to the end of the bed. Rin fondled his freed erection then played with his black and white pubic hair. There were times being the ox had its perks, like the endowment his birthright granted him. “I love your coloring,” she whispered throatily as he tore into the plastic packaging.

He nuzzled her neck, taking the condom from her. “You’re so beautiful.”

Playfully, Rin backed away from him and grabbed his pants. She took two of the bondage ties off a pant leg and waited until he got the prophylactic snuggled down over himself. Rin bore him back against the mattress, looping the straps over his bangled wrists. Haru laughed, trusting Rin implicitly. She straddled him, sliding him into her hot, slick core. Rin was so slender, Haru was always amazed he fit.

Letting her restrain him lightly, Haru thrust up, meeting Rin as she rocked down on him. Her dark eyes, clouded with lust, still managed to gaze upon him with such love that it broke his heart. Shifting on him so she could stretch out over him, Rin’s hips slowed down to a tantalizing tease over his cock. Her breasts, still hidden behind her top, brushed his sensitized chest as her lips found his pierced ears.

“You have to remember you’re worth loving, Haru. Those people, the ones who call you names, are idiots,” she whispered and he sucked in a ragged breath, trying to calm his emotions.

Rin let the straps drop and Haru rolled her onto the mattress. His hands captured hers as he thrust hard into her. Rin locked her legs over him, driving him deeper into herself. Haru buried his face in her luxurious hair, grunting as he came. When he finally lifted his head, he realized his cheeks were damp with tears. Rin captured his face, her eyes pools that he wanted to drown in.

“I love you,” she said quietly.

Haru rested his head on her chest, letting her stroke his unruly hair. “When I look into your eyes, I am at the center of the sun, and I cannot be hurt by anything this wicked world has done.”

“That’s beautiful. Turning into a poet?”

“Stealing lyrics,” he admitted, canting his face up. “But I mean every word of it.”

Her arms wrapped around him tight. The world could be cruel to the cursed but Haru knew so long as he had Rin, they would both survive.
