Oh, I loved this. I really liked that you explored a different side to Zack, it certainly makes a lot of sense that he'd have baggage like this. A very sweet fic all in all, but it's still heartwrenching ( especially on account of what's to come -- but that's a given with this pairing).

"Don't worry about it, I'm just... I'm just a little bit pissed, you know how I get."

No, thought Cloud, No, I really don't, and he kept hold, trying to ignore the wetness dripping from Zack's cheeks onto his arm.

You've no idea how much this comment meant to me today :) [it was a rough one]. Upset Zack has been killing me dead since I saw the Crisis Core scene where Aeris puts her arms around crying Zack, because seeing him upset just seems so wrong, but it also really really figures he'd have moments like that. And aw. God. Zack. *hugs him*

Admittedly, I had a pretty crap day myself. I actually came back a couple of hours ago to re-read this, cause, well; picturing a naked Zack and Cloud, together in bed and with a chocobo as an alarm clock, just puts a smile on my face without fail :)

God, I know. That scene has been in my head ever since I first saw the trailer!
