Schuldig leaned against the apartment window across the street, binoculars trained on the sleeping figure above the flower shop. He must have thought he was safe, leaving his curtains open. Or maybe, just maybe, he welcomed death.
“I can hear all your secrets when you’re vulnerable like this.”
The voice was a liquid murmur, hypnotic in nature, felt rather than heard.
“Get out of my head,” Aya muttered.
“But, it’s so warm with all the blood,” Schuldig said. “I like it here.”
“How would you like it if I invaded your dreams?”
“Heh, you’d run screaming Weiss-ling. I’m not shy.”
