Summary: Four persons and one relationship.
The problem according to Ken would have been that Aya wasn't happy unless there was something he could be unhappy about. It was Aya's defining character-trait, and Ken would be the first (and probably the only) person to admit it made Aya all the more sexy and attractive, even if it could also be a tad annoying at times, because sure, Omi's ever-lasting cheer was a bit too much of a good thing, but Ken would have liked for Aya to be able to say 'I love you' in a different kind of voice than the way he said things like 'I'll kill you' and 'Pass me the salt, please'.
The problem according to Aya would /not/ have been that Aya found it hard to refuse Ken anything normally, and that a half-sleepy Ken with bedhair was all kinds of cute in a way that made Aya want to drag him off to his room and forget about starting his day with a proper breakfast. This /was/ the main-reason for Aya refusing to sleep over or allow Ken to sleep over on a day before either of them had to work the morning-shift, although of course he never said this to Ken in that many words. Aya just told Ken there'd be no sleeping over on nights before morning-shifts, and Ken gave him a kicked-puppy look which prompted Aya to promise him anything he wanted, if only he'd stop looking at Aya like that.
The problem according to Omi would have been that Aya had trouble talking about his feelings, while Ken had trouble noticing subtle things, like Aya smiling at him during work, or giving him come-hither looks while Yohji was distracted. Omi's reaction was to try and reduce the number of morning-shifts Aya and Ken had to work. Yohji complained, but Omi felt that getting to ogle Yohji with bedhair was worth listening to Yohji's complaints, and anyway, Ken and Aya would be good for one another. Plus, it was nice not to have to stand in line to use the bathroom in the morning.
The problem according to Yohji would have been that Aya needed to get laid, that Ken needed to get a clue about Aya ogling him, and that Omi needed to stop making him work morning-shifts and start noticing that Yohji was flirting with him under the pretense of chewing him out about the changes Omi'd made in the work-schedule. Aside from that, Ken should stop dreaming about soccer or buy a new bed, that didn't make so much noise whenever Ken was running after balls in his sleep.
