Before Schuldig looks up from the laptop, the light of sudden interest in his eyes, Crawford has already mentally run through exactly what they'll do and who gets to top this time (not a matter of fairness; that made them both laugh till they cried the one time Nagi was brave enough to ask for advice on his own damn sex life, more a matter of freakishly controlled negotiations for favours, random whims, what Schuldig's been watching on the internet recently and - most importantly - exactly what Crawford's bad shoulder is doing to him right then. It's never been the same since they went down with the tower into Tokyo Bay). Whose turn it is to fetch the beers afterwards is a matter of fairness, over which they never argue.

"You take all the spontaneity out of this," Schuldig says, half-laughing.

"Sorry," Crawford says, undoing his tie. "I hadn't realised you'd suddenly become a girl."

"Some day you're going to say that to a woman and she's going to kick your balls so hard. I'll be there to take the pictures." Schuldig kicks off his shoes and flings himself on the bed. "So what are we doing? Let me see - "

Crawford feels the touch of Schuldig's mind, though he knows it's just his imagination. No one feels what Schuldig can do to their mind. Crawford replays his vision, as sharp as he can make it. He likes this, the fact that he need never have to explain what he wants to do. Schuldig likes it too, he knows, being too lazy to come up with decent game-plans himself. Now Schuldig will make that amused sound of irritation, now he'll roll his eyes and make a comment about precognitives - Schuldig grins and flips him off - now, finally -

"Bo-ring," Schuldig says, and Crawford blinks, the feel of disorientation as sharp as ever, even though he knew it was coming. The onrushing seconds and minutes are gone, as blank to him as if he were ordinary, mundane. "I don't feel like doing any of that, though I might spring some of it on you another time when I have need of a game-plan," Schuldig says, eyes satisfied at the feel of panic Crawford can never quite suppress at the loss of the future. Right now, why don't I surprise you?"

Crawford laughs as he's pulled closer. Surprise is always so -

- surprisingly welcome.
