I'm through with the Dark Knight... for now.

OK, Warner Brothers. I'm done. I'm convinced. Now will you please stop releasing so many damn cool things regarding The Dark Knight. I agree with mechmuertos. Just... stop. Those three posters last week were just too cool. On Friday night, we went, including truckstopdruid to see the pitiful I am Legend on IMAX just to see the first six minutes of the TDK. And it was rad. The spirit is there. Tonight I saw the trailer. And its wonderful. Now, I wish i knew how to quit you. Well, no, I'm just stopping. I'm done. The anticipation was leading up to the trailer, our first shots of the new Joker in action and it's fantastic. The voice, the posture-- this is what i've always wanted to see. I'm still excited, but I'm sick of reading about it, thinking about it, annoying my friends with new facts about it. OK, sure I'll talk to other dedicated geeks about it, but I'm downshifting. No more set reports, cast interviews, leaked photos. Just give me official trailers and TV spots. OK, and maybe another Joker viral game. But thats it. Ok, but i would really dig a "I believe in Harvey Dent" campaign sign and button. But thats it.

Here's the trailer:

OK, much discussion is to be had about this trailer, but my favorite bit is the Joker's opening speech. This is one of my favorite themes with this character, as illustrated in The Long Halloween. Batman brought all these masked crazies on Gotham himself when he chose to dress as a bat. I'm so glad they are sticking with the Escalation Theme.
