What the hell is up with Roger Ebert today?

I love Ebert's reviews for the most part. I like that he doesnt follow the "look at me, I'm a witty writer" when writing about movies, the way most reviewers do these days. He judges them based on what they are trying to do, which i think is the best criteria. This review of Just Friends is just plain

hello,
i am hoping to move to portland in 2006 to complete an MA. i
searched for people in the area who like red house painters, they are my favourite band so anyone who likes them can't be bad people can they?
i am from england and have lived in louisiana for almost two years
now. i was hoping to make some contacts up in portland before i get

Yup, RHP is deffinately one of my favorites. I'm going to see Mark Kozelek play a solo show in about two weeks. I actually lived in London for 6 months back in 2000. If you like London weather, you should do fine in Portland. Its grey and rainy here for most of the year.
