We leave tomorrow for Doha. Seems like everything is pretty much set and ready. We fly (business class!) to Toronto, then London, then Doha, arriving Saturday at 9:30 p.m. Then we're taken by Mercedes to the Four Seasons Hotel (!!) for two nights while we shop for necessities for our villa with our generous moving allowance (!!!). I think I'll start work on Wednesday or Thursday; just get my feet wet before the weekend.

I'm excited to finally be going (30%), and tired at the thought of it (70%).

I'm really looking forward to working again, to reclaiming that part of myself and finding some balance again. I'm actually ready, which I haven't been until now. And I'm looking forward to seeing our villa and figuring out what our lives will be like. But man, I am dreading the baby jetlag. It should just last a week. But a week of not sleeping while trying to set up a new place and start a new job is tough. I'm also dreading the homesickness that will inevitably arise.

Enough whining, though. Life is pretty darn great.

On with the next step!
