Now entering week 2 of our Canadian summer. We've settled in pretty well; Fritzy's sleeping is almost back to normal. On a bad night, he still wants to get up before 6 a.m., but overall he's doing well, despite the fact that he's teething up a storm. I am loving being back, of course, as is C. (although he misses Ankara a lot). Now that we're starting to feel a bit better rested, we're getting out and doing a bit more. So far, it's just been catching up on some necessary shopping: new shoes for C. and new clothes for F. (I LOVE the baby Joe stuff at Superstore; seriously, it is the best -- cheap, cute, organic cotton!). I haven't had a baby break in a loooong time, so today I'm going for a solo shopping expedition to get a dress for my sister-in-law's wedding and some pants. Currently, I own two pair of long pants, which is not quite enough. We're also finally starting to get some visiting in. It's a bit hard when people work, though, since Fritz goes to bed around 7:30. We're contemplating going up to my in-laws' cabin on Lake Superior this weekend, but I'm wavering since I'm not sure it's a good idea to change Fritzy's little world all over again so soon after the last big change. Other plans: storytime at the library for Fritz (and bookhunting for me), baby animal day at Fort William, the farmers' market on the weekend, a movie date for C. and me (Star Trek!!!! Finally!!!!!!), and much else.
Life is good. I just wish I weren't so super exhausted all the time!
