Hi, I have been reading what you didn't make friends only for a while, but then you would disappear. I read a friend's friend pages. Now, it makes sense to me that you're friends-only. :) I posted something on your recent post (of an introduction) because I read it on said pages (rather than the revival lj meme). I went ahead a friended you. I, too, keep my journals mostly friends-only. I was an English major, both undergrad and grad school, and I enjoy philosophy (though I'm not always logical ... I write poetry a lot). I agree with everything of yours I've read thus far -- even the apocalyptic visions. :) (I'm a pessimist and idealist.) A few years ago, I went through this heavy Goffman phase where I saw the world only as front stage and back stage, and I saw the infiltration of the front stage (world of the persona -- self representations) into the back stage (of the authentic self and shadow self). I got psyched when I saw you mention Goffman in your intro. Anyway, I just wanted to see if you might add me. :) I like reading lj though I only write in it from time to time. I'm hoping to change that any time soon. (I'll never drop it entirely and in fact I foresee myself moving more towards than away from it.) Thanks. :)
