So what have I been up to these past few weeks?
Teambuilding in Zambales
I LOVED Zambales. Okay, the beach wasn't as spectacular as Boracay or Bantayan, but it worked for me. As long as a beach is a) clean b) unpopulated c) far away from Manila then I'm okay with that. Add to that some very crazy and hyperactive officemates in need of open spaces then we're bound to have fun.
The new expressway from NLEX - Subic made the trip fast and comfortable. It also didn't hurt that the scenery along the way was fantastic.
The weather when we arrived was perfect. Cloudy and windy. The wind generated huge waves late in the afternoon. It was my first time encountering waves of that size. At first I was afraid (...I was pertified!). Haha, seriously, at the start I didn't dare go off deep into the water since I wasn't a strong swimmer but eventually I got confident and soon enough we were chasing wave after wave. Though there were waves, there weren't underwater currents or sudden drop points so it was relatively safe.
As expected, it was a riot hanging out with my friends as well as getting to know the newer members of the team.
Movie Galore
Watched 4 movies in a span of 2 weeks:
+ Indiana Jones - I wasn't blown away but it was entertaining. Libre naman ng company so I'm not complaining.
+ Sex and the City - Loved the bags and clothes. Movie got dragging though.
+ Kung Fu Panda - A couple of laugh out loud moments. I was more distracted with the fact that the panda reminded me of an officemate of mine (who we couldn't stop teasing after the movie).
+ Narnia: Prince Caspian - The dude who played Prince Caspian is actually british but how come he speaks with a weird accent. Kinda like a german-russian accent.
Food!
A friend treated me to Saisaki. I haven't eaten there in a year. Satisfied my love for sushi and sashimi. :)
Finally got to eat at Pepper Lunch in Rockwell. I'm no stranger to Pepper Lunch since I was able to try their beef pepper rice when we were in Tokyo. Btw, in Tokyo Pepper Lunch is just a normal establishment, kinda like your local Chowking, but the food is fantastic.
Anyways, I got the hitokushi cut steak, my sis got the shimofuri steak, my dad got the hamburger and cut steak combo while my mom got the rib-eye. Loved all of them though i wasn't able to taste the one my dad had but my favorite was the rib-eye coz it was really tender. The seaweed salad and molten chocolate cake were delicious too. I'm actually looking forward to eating there again.
Nail Spa
Got together with one of my kabarkadas to pamper ourselves in Nail Tropics in Alabang. It was my first time getting a foot spa and pedicure. Choose dark red nail polish for my toenails and I love it!
