The Frankeinstein Meme: Pilot Version

1. A song that wakes you up in the morning.
Nina Simone - In The Morning YSI
A happy song for those who love mornings. I'd sort of include myself in that grouping. I love getting up early and seeing the soft morning sunlight. The problem is that I'm really not good with the getting up part.

2. A song you loved in high school.
Radiohead - Creep YSI
Who didn't love Radiohead in high school (or however old you were in the 90's)? I love them still.

3. A song that mentions a dead celebrity.
The Cranberries - Yeats Grave YSI
Another 90's song. The dead celebrity here is William Butler Yeats, famous Irish poet, sung by an Irish band and definitely worth a listen if you've never heard it.

4. A song you'd be embarrassed to listen to with your grandmother.
Garbage - #1 Crush YSI
Yeah, it was embarrassing enough when I heard this song with my mother in the car. My grandmother would be three time as embarrassing.

5. A song that MTV will never play in a million, billion years.
Majandra - Bruises YSI
I smile at the thought of watching you die
I strive off the image of making you cry
I feed off the feeling of having you need
I lick the illusion of watching you bleed
Somehow, with lyrics like these, I think we can feel secure in the knowledge that MTV would never play this song.

6. A song with a title that ends in y.
Tom McRae - A Day Like Today YSI
I had to have Tom in here somewhere.
Need to say, need to call,
Need to love someone beautiful
A day like today
Has stained my eyes

7. A song that makes you crave something.
Rufus Wainwright - Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk YSI
While I don't smoke, this song makes me crave a cigarette. And I love chocolate milk. Plus the song is all about indulgence, which I heartily endorse.

8. A cover song that you think is better than the original.
Travis - Baby one more time RIGHT-CLICK-SAVE-AS
From the single for Turn. What's not to love here? They're my happy beautiful Scottish boys. Plus they made me love a song I previously hated. There's a cover of this song floating around the net by Billy Boyd (who's also Scottish and wee and cute) where he is in fact covering Travis, not Teh Brit. Just so you know where credit is due.

9. The original of #8.
Britney Spears - Hit Me Baby (One More Time)
Yeah, like anyone's going to actual download this. If you like it you probably already have it. But I'll upload it if you really want me to.

10. A song that reminds you of a fandom OTP.
The Magnetic Fields - Fido, Your Leash is Too Long RIGHT-CLICK-SAVE-AS
Remus/Sirius all the way baby!

And because I couldn't resist, a second one.
Bell X1 - I'll See Your Heart & I'll Raise You Mine RIGHT-CLICK-SAVE-AS
A perfect Aziraphale/Crowley song, plus it's just a beautiful song.

11. You have been caught mouthing the lyrics to this song.
Black Eyed Peas - My Humps YSI
Yeah, this thing gets stuck in my head and never comes out for days on end.

12. A song that will always make you think of a movie.
Magnet with Gemma Hayes - Lay Lady Lay RIGHT-CLICK-SAVE-AS
From Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Plus, I think it's just a good cover.

13. A song that should totally have fic written about it.
The Weakerthans - Without Mythologies YSI
Sets the scenery for you, quite beautifully at that.

14. A song you wish they'd play in elevators.
The Corrs - Carroroe Jig [Instrumental] RIGHT-CLICK-SAVE-AS
An instrumental, so it would still fit with elevator-themed music, but everyone would come out with a little more bounce to their step and a smile on their face.

15. You'll stop listening to this song when they pry your MP3 player out of your cold, dead hands.
The Frames - Fitzcaraldo RIGHT-CLICK-SAVE-AS (Live from the Here Comes The Night gig)
This song moves me every damn time I hear it. This version is from a live bootleg, but damned if I can remember which one. (Perhaps Here Comes the Night?)

See everyone else's results here.

I couldn't put everything up on the server because there are size restrictions, so let me know if anything needs to be reuploaded.
