Day 4
Early afternoon arrive to Budj Bim NP and have a luxury of a hot shower there.
Intended to ride there directly from the southeast, but a farmer I meet midway warns me that Purcells(?) road is flooded, so I take a wide detour via Macarthur village.
From Budj Bim visitor center, I take a quick walk around the volcanic crater lake and then make a mistake of walking the Lava Canal walking trail with a bike (2 km of sharp lava rocks, takes another 2+ hours).
On the sunset, I don't try to push out of the NP. Its outskirts are flat and cosy. Although, it's really tricky to find a smooth patch of ground for a tent.
Sharp volcanic rocks are still everywhere on what looks like a perfectly flat woodland.
