My tailbone is still sore from eating it on a jump the last time Jeremy & I hit the slopes at Kirkwood. My neck, too, but not cause of snowboarding. Just is.

Yesterday Suave & I began our travels back down the coast through some beach towns. Our first stop was at Suave’s favorite beach in Mollymook. ‘Twas a nice beach. Super quiet. The sand here is a lot different than in the states. Kinda hard to explain, but I like it. Went in the water for a bit there til we were too tired to stay in. Got out, played with a sand crab, then went next to Ulladulla to just walk around a bit. Nice little town. Had a Lamington, which is a white cake dessert with a chocolate cake or chocolate frosting type of coating with coconut. Damn good. We went to this arcade where Suave used to go when he was younger, but being 2006, it’s been updated and modernized and basically sucked asshole. Had nothing but all these ginormous, shitty games. Plus, every game was $1.25 per play. Fucking insane. Even the one where you shoot out the clown’s teeth with shooting the balls thing. Rip off.

From Ulladulla we went to a beach in Bateman’s Bay, which was also nice. Went in the water for a bit, then walked around and explored on the rocks and whatnot. Found a small crab to harass and photograph. That was fun. We went up to the coast house we were staying at in Mogo to unpack some shit and pick up boogie boards to head out to a beach in Taree. It was really beautiful out there and since it was dusk, there was no one else out anymore. We went in the water and boogie boarded for a bit, which was awesome. I can’t say that I’ve ever REALLY boogie boarded before. It’s good fun, especially when you catch a good wave…it’s a rush riding it all the way in. I can totally understand what surfing must be like.

Drove back into Bateman’s Bay to get dinner at this Fish & Chips place. We each had snapper & fries & split garlic prawns. Definitely the best I’ve ever had. Ever. It was amazing. Then we just drove back to the house and kicked it. Played some Briscola, I made a playlist for the road for today, and that was really it.

Woke up from my sleep in the worst fucking bed ever this morning, we both had some crappy cup-o-noodles type bowls for breakfast, cleaned up the house and locked up around noon or so to head to Wollongong. We got to the Gong around 2:30 and decided to have lunch and walk around a bit at this mall. Some old, dumb yokel backed into Suave’s car when we were about to park the car. Scared the shit out of me even though it wasn’t that big of a deal. Just got my heart going cause it reminded me of my two accidents.

We had some bad pizza and luke-warm ravioli for lunch, walked around the crappiest mall ever for a bit, then got the Australia equivalent to Jamba Juice which was really good. Headed out to the beach from there with the boogie boards for a bit. The beaches weren’t really as nice as the ones yesterday nor were the waves, but it was still fun.

Drove through the University of Wollongong after the beach just to check it out. Nice campus. Too lazy to park the car and walk around.

Finally started off to Sydney from there. We got to Suave’s uncle James & aunt Maureen’s place around 7:00pm I believe. His aunt & uncle are both super nice and a bit quirky. Really nice house. Incredible step up from the shithole of a beach house we stayed at last night. The four of us went out to dinner at an Italian place and his aunt & uncle talked like crazy and had me talking like crazy. Really does get tiring sometimes. Had some “aussie” pizza, which is pizza topped with eggs & bacon. It was good, but not amazing. I much rather prefer having some vegetables on my pizza. And if I’m going to have something else, Hawaiian’s the way to go.

Came back to the house and just watched some tv…world news, simpsons, commonwealth games…and played a little more briscola. That’s all. Tomorrow and Friday should be super packed days cause we’ve only got those 2 days to explore the shit out of Sydney. Lots planned. I hope we’re able to accomplish everything.
